Our Love Story

"That moment
when you kiss someone
and everything around you becomes hazy
and the only thing in focus is you and this person.
And for one moment you get this amazing gift.
And you want to laugh and you want to cry.
Because you feel so happy you found it
but so scared it will go away all at the same time."
- Never Been Kissed

Boy Meets Girl
June 20, 2004

The credit goes to our mutual friend, my best friend since high school and maid-of-honor.
She worked with Hubby and although the first time we were introduced Hubby was not interested; he later gave us a shot. It took him getting over certain "insecurities" - the ex. My Bestie introduced us at their work and later re-introduced us at my job at the time. He came in and I thought he was out of my league. And later that night we all went to see a show together. I was quiet because I clam up when I'm nervous and he talked non-stop because he was hyper from nervous excitement. And then I knew, he was the one. June 20th is the day we said we didn't want to see anyone else. And the day I gave him my heart, whether I told him yet or not.

The Engagement
December 25, 2005

Two weeks before Christmas, Hubby got into a car accident with a man who pulled out in front of him.
That was the day he was going to buy the ring. But instead I rushed home from work to be by his side.
By Christmas morning, Hubby somehow managed to have a build-a-bear waiting for me.
And you have to know that the year before, he bought me one that said 'I love you, Diana' when you pressed it's hand. I thought I lost it when we moved into our apartment and was completely heart broken about it.
Well he gave me the second bear and told me to press the hand.
When I did, I heard 'Will you marry me?' In Hubby's voice, then when I looked up he was down on one knee holding out an engagement ring.
I was speechless.
Then I heard a small voice ask, 'So...Will you?' And I said, 'OF COURSE!'

These pictures were taken Christmas Eve 2005. The day before we got engaged. Sadly, there are no pictures from our Engagement. But you can tell he has a happy secret.

And Then We Said, "I Do"
July 15, 2007

"When I said I do,
I meant that I will
until the end of all time.
Be Faithful and True
Devoted to you.
That's what I had in mind,
when I said I do."
