Give the Gift of STEM Creativity with Klutz Games

STEM is an acronym for the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. It has become increasingly important to expose your children to STEM education as early as possible. That's why I love that so many games are being created for children that do just that.

This post is part of a sponsored campaign for Klutz. I received compensation for my participation, but my review and opinions are my own.

When I received the Klutz Maker Lab: Circuit Games Build & Play 5 Games! to test out, I was excited because we would have the opportunity to build and play five different circuit games. Here is a little snippet about the game:
"Spark your interest in circuitry! Get ready to be amazed with this electrifying combination of five circuit games to build from scratch. Use actual electronic components to construct a DIY operation game, compete with friends in a Space Loop race, assemble a quiz show board, and more. A step-by-step book of instructions teaches you how to be a maker by adding wires, LEDs, and buzzers for super-charged fun."

What I love about this game is that children will enjoy the games more because they built something with their own two hands. My children that aspect part of it. I will say this as a take away, make sure your children are either in the age range or already read directions and can follow them well. My daughter will be eight in December and builds small LEGO sets on her own, but she had a little trouble with the directions. There were also a few times that the directions wouldn't say you needed something when you later did, it was included, but it is still the point.

I do think this would great for an older child for Christmas. They get to make their own games and seeing the magic on their face when they have brought it life is magical. It makes the perfect family activity game too. You can put together the contraptions to play each game together and making memories is truly the best gift. Plus I love supporting Scholastic and you can save 20% off your purchase with code SSBF2018.

Do you like to give learning gifts? What do you think about STEM gifts? What do you think about this Klutz game?
