I have been in love with rompers on little girls since my daughter was a baby. She received her first one when she was about 18 months old from my mom. It was a patriotic themed one and that year I was so excited, but we didn't even go see fireworks or see any cousins or anything. :( But my SweetPea still looked cute in her Romper! PLUS it did fit her for 2 years.
This past Independence Day, my mom bought another one and BOY have the prices dropped!



So when I received the opportunity to review a romper from Girls Crochet Headbands, I jumped all over it because I just LOVE them SO much! I received the Minnie Mouse Romper for my daughter to review. She will be 4 in December and is mostly in 4T clothing already. I ordered her a Large, but she won't wear it long and complains about it being too tight. I am in LOVE with it. So I think I will be passing this on to my sister-in-law for my adorable almost 18 month old niece to have. Because you can NOT beat the price! ShopGCH currently has this romper priced at $9.99! That's awesome!

 

My daughter started teething about 3 months old (just like Little Man has) and she teethed and teethed for months until finally she broke her first tooth in at about 7 months. THEN they came in at 2s, one right after the other until they were all in (except her molars) by 9 months! So I have some experience calming a grumpy teething baby. I wrote a post at the end of last year about the Natural Ways to Reduce Teething Pain. And since then I have come across some more amazing products that I would love to share with you by giving you a glimpse at what's in my teething almost 5 month old's diaper bag.

So we started Peanut on solids. We decided to go with Squash (we gave him butternut) because I read it was one of the best food for babies to start out with.

And this video is from after I made some homemade yellow squash baby food which he loved even more! He has also tried applesauce which he isn't really a fan of (of course it was jar food) and carrots (which he LOVES). I've been using the baby food recipes that came with my Cook-n-Blend baby food maker.

With an almost five month old who just started solids, a three year old, and a dog - my house has a MANY of smells. Which my nose is mostly likely adjusted to because I am around them so often. But what about when people come to visit? Am I suppose to subject them to just-started-solids poopy diaper stench? I use a diaper pail still, it's a must have in my opinion, and it helps contain a lot, but Febreze products have always been my go-to to eliminate odors when guests come over. Or even times when they don't. ;)

 

I would hate for guests to come over and cut their stay short because of the smell. I know I have done it. Nothing worse than wet dog, which I KNOW I have escaped from more than  few times. I do not want my guests to feel they have to hold their noses in my home, I want them to feel welcomed and to enjoy their time here.

Summer is the perfect time to travel with the family, whether you're headed out for a summer vacation, a day at an amusement park, or if you're enjoying a staycation in your own "backyard"!

My favorite summer time activity has always been swimming. You get to stay cool and it's FUN exercise! For Hubby's work we got the opportunity to go to Six Flags for a discounted rate on June 26th. And we decided to take our 3 year old. You may remember me taking her last year. For $25 per person we got entry into the park, free parking, and a buffet from 4-7 pm. The park was also closed to everyone except us from 9pm to midnight. We could have taken her last year, but Hubby didn't think she would be able to ride anything. So when I got to take her for the Wet Ones blogger event, he knew we could this year. I told Hubby that even if we can't ride some of the rides with her in the kiddie area, it is worth it to see her face.


We started our trip on the train and then stood in the rain waiting to ride Monster Mansion. SweetPea didn't like it as much as she did last year. Then we headed over to the kiddie area where I was bummed the Willie E. Coyote "roller coaster" wasn't working because SweetPea would have been tall enough this year. But she made a friend and had fun regardless.
