Cruising with Kiddos: Our Anniversary Trip to Mexico

As some of you may know, our 10 year wedding Anniversary was July 15th. And to celebrate, we decided to go on a Carnival Cruise because we got married on one originally. I think if you are looking for an inexpensive, but beautiful way to get married then a cruise is that way to go. My husband and I were 21 and 23 when we got married, my parents were on limited incomes, and we had to pay for most of it on our own. We didn't give ourselves time to save up money because we were two crazy kids in love and wanted to get married as quickly as possible. I do not regret a thing.

Cruising with Kiddos: Our Anniversary Trip to Mexico

Anyways, because my in-laws' anniversary is the day after ours and they are our only reliable sitters right now, plus we wanted to go on a five day cruise so leaving our kids with anyone that long wasn't even on our radar, we decided to make our anniversary trip into a family vacation. We had been thinking about going on cruise for a while and so at the beginning of this year we decided to make the leap (and down payments) because we had the extra money. We also bought a bunch of Carnival gift cards from Kroger when they ran their 4X fuel points sale to save even more because the gift cards can be used to pay off any balance. We decided to book a five day Carnival cruise that left out of Mobile, AL and went to Costa Maya and Cozumel.

Eliminate Stress This Back to School Season with Five Star #StrengthNotStress

Back to school shopping can be hectic - there are so many different brands it’s hard to know what’s going to be the most durable, and give you the best value for your money. You want to buy something that your child will find useful while lasting through the school year. Last year my daughter went through TWO book bags because I was too focused on the cost to get her a quality bag. An expense I didn't want to have to worry about half through the school year.

But not this year because Five Star makes back to school shopping a little bit easier with their with durable and innovative products, so they eliminate the stress of organization by providing school supplies that last all year long. No need to worry about items breaking or losing their functionality, as all products and accessories support your academic achievements, especially when you need them the most.

Monster Mike's 1st Day of Pre-K {Wordless Wednesday + LINKY}

My "Wordless Wednesday" posts never seem so wordless. LOL

Yesterday was my Peanut's first day of pre-k. As I've mentioned, he will be going three hours a day, three days a week. His big sister was so excited for him because she loves school so much and told him about all the friends he would make. He has been so excited to start school and he walked right in like a champ.

Back-to-School Fashion from Pediped Footwear

My son is starting his first day of pre-k today. He will be in 3K and going three days a week. I can't believe my baby is starting school. It is only three hours and they will fly by, but I'm a little anxious for him. Nervous and excited all rolled into one. I know he will have fun and I know he will learn so much. My daughter went to the same school when she was his age, so I know most of the teachers.
Getting my son ready for back-to-school has been fairly easy since I knew what I was doing for the most part this time around. I know they go outside and play on an awesome playground, so I want him to have the proper footwear. And Pediped has been my favorite shoe brand since he was a baby.
We recently received a pair of Flex® Gehrig Gingersnap and Flex® Force Grey/Lime. Both are perfect for all of his needs. Our current go to pair is the Flex® Force.
