22 months old...and 2 days

A little late on this entry. And no it didn't slip my mind, I had no time on Tuesday. :/

But as of Tuesday, October 9, my daughter turned 22 months old. I can't believe how fast time has flown by. Not including going through her clothes to officially move her up two sizes, she is growing in more ways than one. She can recognize about half the alphabet including say their sounds. She knows almost all of her body parts. She is stubborn and bullheaded and independent and snugly and sweet. She is this awesome little toddler package all rolled up into one.

She runs and dances and doesn't have a picky bone in her body.

*****EDIT:*****

When I originally started this post, it was Thursday. :/ Knowing this fact just makes me feel more terrible.

I know every parent says this, but my child is seriously amazing. She is this little sweet ball of energy. She plays and laughs all the time. She helps me with the laundry and the dishes. She gets to be more of a handful but more fun everyday.

Taken 10/12. Being silly with Mommy's new iPad.

This picture was taken Saturday at the Perry Fair. 10/13. She was feeding a goat.

The main reason for this continually late post? I was having too much fun with my daughter. She will only be this age once and although I want to write down the memories, the blog can fall by the wayside as long as we are having fun.

20 months and 8/9/12 Kroger trip

So I have a 20 month old as of yesterday! I still can't believe with each month going by how big she is and how much she can do. She is absolutely amazing. I love her so much. Time seems to go by so fast with children.

So yesterday we also went to Kroger. It started raining while we were in the store and not only did me, hubby, and sweet pea go but we also had my friend's daughter (who I take care of) with us as well. So getting all the groceries in the car and the two little ones was a big ordeal. So we only saved 45% but this was our time to get things we needed like produce and dairy items. I also needed paper products as well because my HUGE stockpile of toilet paper was depleted. I also didn't manage to snap a picture because we were trying to get both little ones in the house and everything put away before my in-laws came over for dinner. But here is the break down of what I bought:

Kroger Napkins = $1.67
Bounty Paper Towels $5.99 x 2 - 2 $1 coupons = $9.98
Powerade $0.59 x 15 - 5 B2G1 FREE coupons = $5.90 or $0.39 each
Kroger Whole Milk = $2.50
Tennessee Pride Sausage Biscuits $6.99 x 2 - 2 $1 IPs = $11.98
Fresh Express Garden Salad - $0.40 coupon from mailer = $2.29
Cucumbers x 2 = $1
Charmin 12 pk Toilet Paper $5.99 x 2 - 2 $1 = $9.98
Kroger Tuna x 4  = $3
Kroger Bacon Bits x 2 = $3.97
Kroger shredded cheese x 2 - $0.70/2 coupon from mailer = $6.72
Kroger sliced cheese - $0.40/1 from mailer = $2.10
Stayfree pad 2/$4 - $2 from 7/22 SS = FREE
Rubbermaid Sandwich Kits $5.99 x 2 - $1.50 IPs = $8.98
Kroger bread = $1
Kroger Large Eggs = $2.69

Total after coupons = $64.25
Total Saved = $57.30

53% savings. Over budget but got things to help save money in the future like the sandwich kits so hubby can bring his lunch. :) Going to also try and submit for this P&G rebate, I think I bought enough. :/ Remember, we get an employee discount. The mailer coupons are from the Kroger home mailers that everyone can get when you sign up for a Kroger Plus Card. Each mailer comes with different coupons specifically for your family's needs.

So how did you do? Please post your link below! :D

7/9/12: 19 months & Publix Trip (61% Savings)

Today, I have a 19 month old. That is crazy! She is in to everything and this amazing, funny little ball of energy. She is so smart and has a great little personality developing. She gets an attitude at times. She can count to three (seriously) and put some of her puzzles together. She loves organizing and reorganizing everything in the house. She is climbing everything and throws balls to people. She LOVES balls and bubbles and to swim. I am so thankful everyday to have such a healthy, amazing daughter. She is the light of my life.

Okay, done with the gushing. :D

So today I finally went to Publix. I did the spectators chair and blanket P&G rebate deal. I also got some things that we just plain needed (no coupons and not on sale but YES Publix brand). December

It's been a crazy month!

Lizzie had a great birthday. We celebrated her birthday with a balloon and a cupcake. Her Aunt graduated from Nursing School that night so we went to that and out to eat later.

12/9 was her birth date but 12/11 (her original EDD) is when we had her party. Many people came and she got lots of presents and had a lot of fun. :)

12/12 was Lizzie's One Month Check-Up:

The had to prick her finger but her blood work came back normal, she had to get 5 shots, she weighed 18.2 pounds. Doctor said she could drink whole milk now and that she can eat everything but spicy food. The doctor also gave her a sucker for being such a good girl.

12/17 we went and saw Santa.

She was not impressed but at least she didn't CRY! :)

CHRISTMAS! 12/18 was hubby's mom's side,

Our Entire Family

12/22 was my dad's extended families side,

With my Grandmother

12/23 was hubby's dad's side, 12/24 we got together with hubby's direct family and did our traditional reading of "The Night Before Christmas",

Lovin on Lexus

Christmas Day we went over to the in-laws and then to my SIL's house really quick and THEN to do a store check for hubby's work and THEN (lol) to my dad's side's Christmas, 12/26 my mom's family came over. WHEW! We were busy people!

That's it! We had a busy, busy month! Maybe we can have some time to relax now... :)

10 Months

Wow, I haven't seriously updated this in a while. Lizzie will be 10 months old tomorrow. I can not believe it. At her 9 month check up (9/19), she weighed 16.6 pounds, Length 26 and 1/4 inches, Head 46 and 1/2 cm. She had to have two shots but she only cried for a second. My little peanut isn't so little anymore. She is crawling everywhere and getting into everything. She doesn't listen to me at all. She is no longer eating baby food - grown up foods all the way! :) She has been sick this week. Her first cold. She has a mild fever and a mucus-like cough. But she is a lot better now. She can wave goodbye and clap. She has three teeth. I'm so proud of her. I love her so much.

Lizzie at her 9-month check-up:

Sweet Pea's First Baseball Game

We took Sweet Pea to her first Braves game yesterday. Hubby didn't want us to go. I think because he wanted to go by himself. I insisted because I don't care that I am breastfeeding. I feel like sometimes he uses that against me so I have to stay at home and he gets to go out all the time. Regardless of what he thinks, he needs to either realize we should do stuff as a family or he should stay at home with us as a family.

Anyways even Hubby said Sweet Pea was perfect and that it was fun.

I had fun but baseball is boring without beer. ;)

Sweet Pea's First Vacation

Florida Bound!
We left later than intended because Hubby's Nanny (my MIL's mom) fell and was in the hospital because she broke her hip. We went and visited with her before we set out just to make sure she would be okay if we left. Sweet Pea was a trooper and did amazing!

Day 2:
We spent the whole day at the beach! This day was September 11. It was a beautiful day. Sweet Pea didn't care for the water or the sand. Well, she didn't know quite what to think about the sand. My MIL insisted I go up to the room to nurse. I feel like everyone wants if to be inconvenient for me so I will stop. :/

That night in Panama City we went to visit this pier that is across the street from Pier Park. Poor Sweet Pea was so tired.

Day 3:
We went to the beach and then went and raced go karts that night.

I finally got to nurse on the beach because my MIL went shopping. The boys didn't even notice! And it was very liberating. :D

Day 5:
We went to Pineapple Willy's for Dinner.

Some Random Pics, Just Because! :D

Sophie even had a blast at the Beach! :D

SweetPea's first sand castle! :D

Coming Home! It's a little Peanut on a big Peanut! :D

A Nerd In Training

We took Sweet Pea to her first Dragon*Con. Dragon*Con is a yearly sic-fi convention we attend every year.

One of my dear friends from when I was on the Atlanta Rocky Horror cast, Lips Down On Dixie, sent Sweet Pea this onesie and I adore it. Lips Down on Dixie performs at Dragon*Con every year.

This was taken the next day. SweetPea went as Aurora or Sleeping Beauty as you none Disnerds might call her. :) Hubby is yellow because he went as Homer from The Simpsons the night before.

My baby is a ROLLING PIN!

Sine my daughter is almost 8 months old and has learned to crawl, she is EVERYWHERE!

She gets in her diaper bag and pulls everything out...

She got under her crib and went through all of her wipes...

And at her cousin's birthday party she ripped all the paper!

So diaper changes are no easy task in our house. She rolls one way or the other every time we try.

That's why I love the idea of Huggies new diapers! Huggies Little Movers Slip-Ons! What an awesome idea! They have easy removable tabs, so you can just slip the diaper on without any mess or fuss!

Don't Blink

My little girl will be 8 months on August 9th. EIGHT MONTHS OLD! Where has this year gone. It feels like yesterday I was pregnant with her

and now she is full on crawling, saying "Ma-ma" (no kidding - except it's more "Ma-ma-ma-ma" but it IS directed towards me :]), she pulls herself up and 'cruises', she eats finger foods, and NOW we have a tooth! And this all started happening in the past month!

She isn't my tiny newborn anymore.

She has an attitude all her own and gets in to everything. I'm so grateful that I get to stay home with her and I don't have to miss a minute.

I wish I could just make it all slow down. I'm trying to adsorb everything, soak it all in so I can remember it but it seems it's all moving too fast. Once I try and take a moment to reminisce, she's already doing something else. I have to write it all down and take LOTS of pictures. I'm sure my Facebook friends get annoyed with all my picture taking. I'm just scared to miss a thing.

Sweet Pea's First Visit to the Aquarium

We parked too far away, unnecessarily.
I felt uncomfortable breastfeeding any where,
it was very crowded and Sweet Pea just wanted to be held the entire time,
PLUS about half way through Sweet Pea was done!
But I got to see my friend Jana (by accident!)
and look at all these cute pictures! It was definitely a fun day!
